Thorisjokull – Reykjanes volcano
This tour takes us north from Reykjavik towards Glymur waterfall, Iceland´s 2nd tallest waterfall, dropping over 640 feet. Truly a spectacular sight from above. From there we head straight for the top of Thorisjokull for a landing if the conditions allow for a safe landing. If not, we land near the glacier. From there we head south towards Thingvellir National Park where you can clearly see how the American and European tectonic plates are drifting apart. From there we head to the volcano area in Reykjanes where multiple eruptions have been taking place since 2021. We aim for a 2nd landing right there. How else can one experience what makes Iceland different from most other places around the world?
